Plague Doctor Mask Completed!

At last. The spray painting took longer than I expected it to, but it's complete. Finally completed, I'll admit, I'm motivated to try making another next, based on what I've learned while making this one. Will be posting better photos once I have the hat again, and likely a guide to the process I took in making this mask.

Came up with a ton of ideas while working on this mask for improvements on the design, which alas, I could not incorporate in this mask, but maybe I'll make another, better mask sometime soon!

Sneak Peak 2: Tardis / Idris Hybrid, Go!

So pretty much anyone who knows anythign about Doctor Who has heard of the wonderful Tardis, and the wonderful Idris. Come cons, Tardis girls are pretty notoriously famous, yet I've yet to see a combination of Idris and the Tardis, until now that is. Now that you seen this sneak peak, set to premeire in wicked faire, I ask you, what's better than Idris, the Tardis, and Pizza?

All 3 combined.

Cosplay Picnic with a Cake!

Stamford Cosplay Picnic

Debut in the Stamford Cosplay Picnic, is the Cake! and it's not a lie!

This chocolate icing with frosting and cherries cake is dedicated to GLaDOS and all those who dared to believe! There was a few hobos around, and a guy who came and asked our blue haired hostess (Vespa) if that was her natural hair color. "Thank god" I believe was his exact words after her reply.

Cake must be protected from them!

(Cake baked by Ned who cosplayed as L, and iced by Liz who was the girly 10. I did most the work by standing and watching them do it though!)

Also Guy 10, Girly 10, and a weird fusion of 4th, 11th, and girl doctor. YAY!

Should of taken more pictures. Also featuring at the picnic was our hostess Vespa, in a very nice (and tall) kingdom hearts heroine with blue hair and a keyblade. I'm sure if I played more than one Kingdom Hearts game, I could tell you who she was, but I haven't so I can't.

Next up was Ash Ketchum and Pikachu, who had a pokebattle with a squirrel! Surprise surprise, the squirrel ran away. Girly 10 went to go play with it but I tackled her in the nick of time to save her from it's hyper bite attack!

Sadly I can't recall anyone else who cosplayed up at the picnic but it was a decent and nice turn out. The picnic packed up and headed out to the local mall, a venture I sadly had to miss due to work.
