SCIENCE! The Science Center of Baltimore

After Otakon had ended (There will be many more posts on Otakon to come, but wanted to get this out of the way) my group had decided to stay for another to check out the sites Baltimore had to offer up. As we had left our room by Noon, our group splintered off, the crew from the north and the crew from the west went their separate ways. With me was the 4th Doctor and the faithful companion Rose.

We were a little short on cash but I'm sure no one would notice. Taking a walk, we were a bit confused on where the aquarium and where the science centers were, knwoing only that both were somewhere around the bay area, so we decided to just continue hugging the area we had came from, and alas, we found the science center.

I hear that area was pretty famous all throughout Otakon for picture taking, but I havent had the chance to actually make my way there during the event, and it was deserted except for scavanger hunters who walked along the peer. Some recognized us for the Doctors and Rose, and we had a good short chat with them, it was a blast.

Alas making our way to the science center at 2pm, we decided to get the cheaper ticket for $15 and say fuck it to the IMAX, we didn't have much time left anyway as we wanted to be heading out by 5pm since we still had a long road trip. I have to say, there was a surprisingly a lot to do at the Science Center, and I recommend going if you have a friend to go with, and you in the area! We didn't get around to heading out until 5:30, since we really needed to be on the road by then, but I expect we could of spent another hour there easily as we didn't even look around the first floor, and skipped a few things.

The optical illusion show was real fun! I think it was on the 3rd floor, with the giant crabs?

Which may or may not have chased us off. It wasn't all hostile there, we met some very nice and friendly penguins while at the Science Center.

All in all the experience was wonderful, made great for plenty of pictures, and we were off on the road by 6PM, yeah, thats a long walk back to the parking lot, since Baltimore's parking SUCKS, and they had ungodly amount of construction going on everywhere that they started literally the day before Otakon.
